Dustin bought me a new lens (Nikor 50mm 1/4f AF) for Christmas and OF COURSE I demanded he give it to me early. He was happy to oblidge as long as he got to take some pictures of ME for a change. Here’s what he got.

I love the lens and will have much more fun being on the other side of it! I have a very busy weekend ahead of me with several family portraits and an engagement session and my husband’s neice is coming up to have me do her senior portraits. I am so excited that I’ve got my new lens for all the shooting the rest of this month holds for me. Next weekend I’ll be heading down to Southern California for some family portraits and to photograph a dance recital. I’m sure I’ll have loads to share with you!

I had a blast taking some engagement pictures for Lisa and Matt. They are getting married in the Sacramento, California LDS temple in December and I’ll be photographing that as well. We had such fun taking these pictures that I’m really excited for the wedding. I love a couple who knows how to have a good time.

As a photographer, I take A LOT of pictures. I just don’t have loads of time to put them on professional website. Okay, let’s be honest, my HUSBAND doesn’t have loads of time to put them on my professional website. Plus, not every great photo from every fun thing I get to photograph can make it’s way to sarahmarenphotography.com. So, in an effort to share my most recent work, both professional and personal, with you I have created this little blog. I will share recent work that I have created either for clients, friends and family, or myself. I hope you have as much fun looking as I had creating.

To start off, here are some recent photos of my daughter Lauren. We had a little photo shoot in her bedroom the other morning to get the perfect pictures for her birth announcement. I might be completely inpartial, but she is pretty cute.
