    Kim and Kenton Wedding

Kim and Kenton are one heck of an awesome couple who brought me to tears at their wedding and again tonight as I watched their finished slideshow. These two are so perfect for each other it’s almost unreal! I was so honored to photograph their beautiful wedding.

We started the day off with Kim and her bridesmaids at the house the reception was being held at. I could tell right off that we were going to have fun. We did everything from walk through the streets to flag down an ice cream truck, to sexy shots on the sofa. It was a blast! Kim was just glowing!

Then I headed over to The Chapel in the Grove in Elk Grove, California to take pictures of Kenton and his boys as well as the venue and ceremony details. The boys were in great spirits and we took some fun pictures. Then it was time to get the party started and get these two high school sweethearts married!

It was a ceremony just how I love them – full of laughter and tears and unabashed joy! Kim’s grandfather married the happy couple and so there were stories to be told, and love just all over the place! I was thrilled that my sister, Kristin, was in town to be my assistant because she was up in the balcony of the chapel taking birds-eye view photos of the “I do’s” and she turned out such beautiful pictures of some amazing moments.

After Kim and Kenton were pronounced Mr and Mrs we headed over to a beautiful home in Elk Grove for a reception filled with dancing, great food, THREE margarita machines and a whole lot of fun. (Of course we did stop for some pictures in the AWESOME classic Chevy Impala they took from the ceremony to the reception!) It was a great party and the perfect way to celebrate such a wonderful couple.

    Congratulations to Kim and Kenton!

    Helen and Jason Wedding

It was so much fun photographing Helen and Jason on Saturday! They are SO in love, and so enamored with each other that it made it insanely easy to photograph them despite the fact their wedding day was the very first time we met. They were willing to do whatever I asked, and when I said, “Okay… now make out for a bit” they were MORE than happy to oblige.

Helen and Jason were married on the garden terrace of their apartment building in Oakland, California. (I thought it was cool that I could see where I got married just a few miles off!) It was a beautiful and unique location that we had a lot of fun shooting in. Before the wedding got started we dragged the bride and groom around outside, and in the halls of the building for some really fun and sexy pictures.

It was such a pleasure photographing these two. They were amazing! Check it our for yourself by watching their slide show – just click on the picture below.

Thanks to Helen and Jason and their wonderful family and friends for letting me be a part of your wedding day. Congratulations you two!

    Happy Birthday to Dustin!

So today is my dear husband’s birthday and we are the same age for a few short weeks. He thinks this is really great. So, because Dustin has to work today we spent the day together yesterday doing things that we love to do. We went to the movies, ate yummy Greek food at the Kabob House and then we went to my favorite place in the world – the camera store. As I had bought Dustin’s birthday gifts weeks ago because I’m on top of these kind of things, I thought maybe I should get a little something more while we were at the camera store. So, I bought Dustin a new 10.5 f/2.8 fisheye lens. Really, it’s not for me at all! So for him, SO for him. See…

Okay, so maybe it IS more for me than it is for him, but still when I’m happy, Dusty is happy. :) So happy birthday dear Dustin. You are the love of my life, and the best friend I’ve ever had. I hope you love your new flip flops, iPod and speakers. You are the best! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!
