    Annly and Matt’s Wedding

Last Saturday (September 22) started off with rain but ended so beautifully it was worth the stress I’m sure it caused my lovely bride. Annly and Matt are a great couple who met in high school, dated through college (while attending different colleges), broke up, and then discovered they couldn’t live without each other. It wasn’t long after they were engaged and now they are man and wife.

The happy couple was married in the beautiful Carmichael Presbyterian Church on Saturday morning as the rain poured down. I was so impressed with how packed the church was! There were a lot of people supporting Annly and Matt as they said I Do.

After the ceremony ended and the clouds parted everyone headed on over to the beautiful Vizcaya for a lovely reception. Once lunch had been served there were wonderful toasts (seriously, not a dry eye in the house), the lovely (and super tasty) cake from Shelton’s Bakery was cut, and then it was time to cut a rug!

Once everyone was danced out, I got to take the bride and groom around downtown Sacramento for a little photo shoot. It was so much fun to have them all to myself without feeling like we had to hurry to get them into the reception. Plus, at 5pm the light was so beautiful! I had a wonderful time photographing this great couple.

A big thank you to Annly, Matt and their wonderful family and friends. We hope you are having a great time in Hawaii! Happy forever you two!

Mr. JT Whatcha Got For Me?

A few weeks ago my dear husband came into my dark office where I was squinting into the computer and said, “Sarah, I’ve been thinking about it and I think you should go to the Justin Timberlake show.” Once again, the crystal clear fact that I had married the PERFECT man was made apparent. Last night was the first night in a long time that I’ve been out of the house for something other than a wedding or medical emergency. I forgot that hanging out with friends and seeing a show is so stinkin’ fun! My best friends Jill and Anne joined me to watch Justin do his thing. Here we are waiting for the show to start.

The girls and I had a seriously good time. Justin was awesome! This is the third time I’ve seen him live (once with Nsync, and then on his tour with Christina Agulaira) and the man just gets better and better. I was SO dieing to have a decent camera with me! But alas, I don’t think they would have let me in with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens attached to my massive camera. I should probably invest in a point and shoot for occasions like this, but I just never seem to get around to it. So my dear Pink Motorola Razr was my camera for the night. Check out this video I took with it.. it’s 17 seconds of awesomeness.

Thanks to Jill and Anne for braving hordes of teenage screaming girls to rock it out old married lady style with me. It was way, way too much fun. Thanks to Justin Timberlake for rocking my body, and my night. But my biggest thanks go to my beloved Dustin for being so awesome as to let me spend so much money on a night outside of the photo cave. I love you for knowing what I need more than I know what I need.

    Nicole and Ryan eSession

A few weeks ago Dustin and I headed out to Lodi to photograph the wonderful Nicole and Ryan. This gorgeous couple are high school sweethearts and so stinkin’ cute together!

We had so much fun taking pictures around Ryan’s parent’s beautiful home and in the nearby vineyards. Nicole really wanted pictures in the vineyards because next June they are getting married at the Berghold Winery in Lodi. I’m so excited!

After the sun went down we headed to downtown Lodi and took some fun and sexy night shots. I just love the connection these two have. They are SO in love! It made for some great pictures of some beautiful people.

Don’t take my word for it though – check out their slide show and see just how fun these two are and why I can’t WAIT for next June.
