Felicia and Peter eSession

You know, I just had to do one more for the road. :) We are heading out of town for the weekend tomorrow, but I had to share one more awesome couple with you before I left. Please say hello to the delightful Felicia and Peter.

Felicia and Peter are a dang cute couple who live out in Boston, but are getting married in Sacramento as it’s Peter’s home town. Felicia is from Australia, and has the loveliest accent. I could sit and listen to her talk all day long! We shot their engagement session around a few blocks of downtown Sacramento. It was a fun afternoon getting to know these two.

Felicia and Peter are getting married in February, and I can’t wait for their big day!! Felicia is just stunning! I can’t wait to see her as a bride, I’m sure she’s going to knock Peter out with her beauty. I’m so excited that I get to be the one taking the pictures. :)

Renee and Marcelo’s eSession

I’m so, so, so close to caught up! So close in fact, that I am doing what I said I wouldn’t, and I’m working when I’m supposed to be on vacation. I couldn’t not share these beautiful pictures of a truly beautiful couple.

I got to photograph Renee and Marcelo at the beginning of November, and I loved doing it. Marcelo wasn’t too excited at first, but before long he did what is always done… pretty much forgot I was around and got down to the business of loving his wife-to-be. It was such a wonderful time in a beautiful location with this great couple.

Check out the slideshow for more images of this happy pair. Thanks to Renee and Marcelo for their patience with me through this busy holiday season, and for being so wonderful to work with. I can’t wait for your wedding in May!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you! Thanks for making this year such an adventure, and letting me do what I love. It has been a blessing to know each of you, and I can’t wait for 2008 and all the fun and excitement it holds. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by those you love.

I will be out of the office for the rest of the week. I have a few appointments I am keeping, but we will be heading out of town to visit family this weekend. I will respond to all emails and voice mails on Wednesday, January 2nd (although I am shooting a wedding that day, so really, probably the 3rd.)

Happy Holidays everyone!

Love, Sarah Dustin and Lauren Whitehead

Dreaming of a White Christmas

So on Saturday my sister and her kids and my mom came over for our annual cookie baking extravaganza. While my mom, sister and I were up to our ears in batter my hubby was keeping one eye on the kiddo’s and one eye on Company of Heroes… if ya know what I mean. Well, I noticed that Lauren was being especially quiet, and asked Dustin to have a peek at what she might be doing. This is what he discovered.

Lauren was COVERED from head to foot with baby powder. I guess she must have held it over her head an sqeezed, because she was standing in a pile of it. Dustin said he had to wash her hair three times because it kept making paste in the bath tub. At least her room was baby powder fresh for a couple days.

Alyssa and Tim’s Wedding

Dustin and I headed down to beautiful Oakland, CA on Saturday morning to photograph Alyssa and Tim’s wedding at the LDS Temple. Since we arrived a little bit early, Dustin and I decided to take some interesting pictures of the temple. It was fun to take pictures from some different vantage points and since it was incredibly clear, we got a great view of San Francisco too.

Once the bride and groom arrived we took their couple pictures around the temple grounds. Alyssa and Tim are SO in love, and both feel so blessed to have found each other that taking their pictures was a breeze. It was such a beautiful day too! There were big puffy clouds, and the sun shone as brightly as these two did.

After Alyssa and Tim were married, we took a few family portraits and then it was off to Santa Clara for the ring ceremony and reception at David’s Restaurant. They had such a great ring ceremony where they exchanged rings and beautiful words about each other. Then it was off to the party! There was lots of fun, food and friends. After dinner there was great dancing thanks to Rich of Hey Mr. DJ.

It was so much fun being a part of Alyssa and Tim’s big day! I hope you have a wonderful time in Maui… I’m seriously jealous. Happy eternity you two!
