January2008
Okay Jessica… you can stop checking every 30 seconds now! Here it is Jordan and Melissa’s beautiful wedding! We started off on Wednesday, January 2nd at the Sacramento LDS Temple where this handsome pair were married. I had my lovely friend Rachel McPherson in town from Boston shooting by my side, it was bright and beautiful and well… perfect.

Melissa and Jordan were glowing when they exited the temple. They were surrounded by friends and family who were so happy to see them married. We spent the rest of the afternoon doing pictures around the temple and then in Old Folsom. These two were a hoot and up for absolutely anything! I barely had to convince them to walk down dirty ally ways or stand in dirty doorways. These two are troopers with great images to prove it!

Then on Saturday we headed over to the Antelope LDS Church where their reception was held. The cultural hall was decked out in black, white, pink and orange. (Familiar colors as those were my wedding colors a couple years ago!) They had such a cute cake too!

I love shooting weddings of people who are near and dear because a lot of their guests are near and dear too. It was so much fun seeing Jordan’s aunts and grandma, seeing old friends and people I’ve known my whole life! It was certinly a fabulous way to start 2008.
Thank you to Melissa, Jordan and your wonderful families! I’m so happy I had the chance to be a part of your big day! Have an happy forever you two!

Where do I even begin with Karri and Darrell? I was so excited when Karri emailed me back in December to inquire about a family photo shoot. I had met Karri briefly over the summer when a bunch of local Flickr addicts got together and mingled with our cameras in hand. I didn’t get to spend much time with her, but thought was just stunning! So I was thrilled when she called to set up a session. We worked things out, and met up later that month. I was thrilled to meet Darrell, and even more excited about them when their chemistry started to show.

There is no doubt that these two are deeply in love, and photographing them was a joy! They were candid, comfortable and just downright beautiful! We walked around downtown, and got to know each other. Their affection for each other never waned, the sparkle in their eyes never diminished. It was absolute love just pouring out of them. I am so happy to have witnessed it.

Thanks so much to Karri and Darrell for letting me capture their beautiful togetherness. Karri just emailed me to let me know they are now engaged and I am SO excited for them. (So in a way, I guess this WAY an eSession!) You two better pick a date where I can be there!

Utah! The place I photographed my first wedding, spent the end of my teens and beginning of my 20′s, had my first kiss, and met a lot of really totally rad people. It’s a beautiful place, that just lends itself to photography, and there are times I miss is a lot.
So, as fate would have it my best friend Jill is running a marathon in Salt Lake City on April 19th. I am heading out there with her to photograph her running around. Doesn’t that sound fun? I think it sounds AWESOME! But while I’m out there I would LOVE to photograph a wedding, or a trash the dress, or a family session, or an engagement session. SO! If you’re getting married the week before or the week after the 19th, or you want a bitchin’ trash the dress or eSession or family session shoot me an email and let’s see what we can work out.
