I found this cute picture of Lauren last night as I was going through THOUSANDS of images of her that I have yet to process. I took FULL advantage of Aaron Brother’s Semi-Annual Penny Sale this time around, and have all these frames that need some pictures so we can finally have something on our walls. When we moved to the new house there were two things that I just loved – 1) all the natural light and 2) how must wall space was available. We had neither of those things in our condo and they were sorely missed. So, even though we’ve been here almost 6 months I still have some pretty blank walls. Luckily, the amazing Beth Baugher of True Love Photo did me the great honor of photographing my little family not too long ago. It’s just kind of one of those things I guess – kind of like the cobblers children have no shoes. So often it goes that the photographer has no photographs of their whole family. I have SCADS of pictures of Lauren and Dustin together and separately, but honestly, there are SO FEW of us together. I am so grateful for Beth and her willingness to put up with me on the other side of the lens so my house need not look like we’re squatters.
Sometime soon, I’ll be done processing them and I’ll share them with you all. I’ll even show you how I hung them in my home. For now though, it’s time for me to focus on the pictures of others, and you can have this sneak peek of my baby when she is not sick and whiny but cute and clappy.
Nicole and Julian are an awesome couple that was sent my direction by my awesome sister in law. Nicole and my SIL, Wendi, used to work together so when Nicole got engaged last year she told her to give me a call. And, boy, am I glad she did. Dustin and I got to photograph her beautiful wedding to Julian at Sun City Lincoln Hills a few weeks ago and it was a blast.
We started off at the home of a friend of the groom where he and the fellas were getting ready. I normally let Dustin take care of all the guy shots as they seem to be more comfy with one of their own, but this time I could pass up a rare photographic opportunity. When telling the fellas how we’d like to find them on their wedding day, we tell them to be showered but not shaved as we like shaving pictures (it’s just really, really masculine and I like that.) The cool thing about Julian is he shaves his head… BIC’s it all right off. And when Nicole told me this, I was so excited! I’ve never had groom shaving his head pictures… until now!
Once the hair was shaved I let Dustin take over for the rest of the fella’s getting ready pictures (of which he did an awesome job!)

I headed on over to the venue to hang with the ladies as they got ready for the wedding. With hair and makeup already in place they were ready to get the party started. Nicole was laid back and ready for the big day. It was great.
Then it was time for some “I Do’s!” It was awesome watching Nicole and Julian promise their lives to each other! Once rings were exchanged and kisses were shared they released some quick flying doves into the air. It was pretty spectacular! Once the newlyweds were down the asile we did some family portraits and some fun couple shots too!

Then is was party time! They went back into the beautiful reception hall and partied the night away with the thanks of Mike from Creative Memories Entertainment. It was a wonderful night of celebrating this wonderful couple.
Thanks so much to Nicole, Julian and your lovely family and friends for being so great! Check out the slideshow for more pictures of this perfect pair.

Heather and Thomas are such an AWESOME couple! I adore them, and feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to photograph them on their wedding day. It was just amazing to be around two people so deeply in love with each other. It made me all warm and gooey inside.

Heather and Thomas met in a most interesting way. They both served service missions for the Mormon Church a few years back and actually went into the Missionary Training Center on the same day. While they never met while they were there, their mothers met in the ladies room that day where they were doing a little crying. As the momma’s chatted it was discovered that Heather was going to Roseville, CA – where Thomas and his family were from. The mom’s exchanged phone numbers and a friendship was formed. A few months later Heather was assigned to the area where Tom’s family was and got to meet them. Tom’s mother let her know she had a son, but Heather was focused on other things. But as fate would have it,when the missions were over life brought these two together and they fell in love.

I was pretty excited to be a small part of their wedding day. I got to hang out with them prior to their wedding ceremony and take some portraits around the Sacramento LDS Temple. From the first time they saw each other there was just electricity! Tom and Heather are SO in love, and SO good for each other. It was a pleasure to be around two centered and level headed people who just happen to be whole heartedly in love with each other.

Thanks so much to Heather, Thomas and your families for letting me a part of your beautiful wedding! I hope you have the wonderful forever together.
