First of all, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! We have had such a great time hanging out with our family and friends over the last couple of days. We have so very much to be thankful for, and our amazing clients are definitely high on that list. We are so happy to know so many amazing people, and can’t properly express our gratitude for you all. I also wanted to thank everyone who made our first annual Black Friday Sale and huge success! We can’t wait to get you all your amazing canvases! Now, onto the real reason for this post - Jessica and Keith!

Wonderful Jessica and Keith. When they walked into the studio to chat about the possibility of me photographing their wedding this coming January I instantly fell in love with them. They were hip, stylish and REALLY funny. Plus, they remind me a lot of me and Dustin. Girl who loves fashion and all things sparkly falls for cute, green-eyed boy who is quite-ish and very thoughtful. When they invited me to be their photographer, I did a little dance right there in my office. Dustin and I got together with them a few weeks ago to rock out their engagement session. Despite the fact they’re currently living in Las Vegas, they are getting married here in Sacramento and wanted their engagement portraits here as well. They only had one weekend they could come out for their engagement session, and that weekend it just so happened to be pouring rain. Despite the inclement weather we went ahead with their shoot, and I am so happy we did. Driving rain and winds forces you to be pretty darn creative - especially when one of your subjects is wearing white raw silk.

We made our way around some fun parts of the downtown area. I am so happy that I have a little obsession with umbrellas. We sure needed them! Jessica and Keith were so awesome despite how cold and wet everything was. They let me drag them onto the roofs of buildings, and into cold parking garages. They braved the steps of the Capital, and running across streets with clogged drains. But in the end, it was really great and we made some images I am just so stinking proud of.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Jessica and Keith for being so awesome, and so adventurous. I can’t wait until January and your beautiful wedding! We are going to have so much fun! I have already started telling the universe that it can’t rain, you’ve endured enough of that. Thank you so much for inviting Dustin and I to be a part of this really special time in your lives together. We are so grateful for the opportunity to know you!
