Happy {personal}

This past week has been nothing short of crazed. With 72 hours notice, I packed and moved our little family into a new home we are THRILLED to be living in – all the week of Christmas. Seriously, I have never been happier that I am an early shopper than I was this year. This is the first time I’ve sat down at my computer in a week! But with everyone full of Christmas dinner and Christmas cheer I had to send a message of love to the Universe for such a wonderful life. I have never felt so blessed as I do now. This lovely family I have, this job I love and a whole bunch of wonderful people in my life – I just couldn’t be happier or more thankful. So tonight, I just wanted to wish you all the Merriest of Christmases and a Happy New Year! We are shooting our final wedding of 2010 this week, so check back on New Years eve for our annual Shoot Out slideshow. :) Happy Holidays!

Frances and Dan {wedding}

Oh Frances and Dan! I love them! They are HEAD OVER HEELS in love with each other and let me tell you something, IT SHOWS! As always, I started off with the ladies whilst Dustin hung out with the fellas. Frances’s dress is one of my favorites ever! There were pockets! And it was SO LIGHT! I loved it!
I LOVE the look on Dan’s face as super cute Frances came down the asile.

Any wedding with custom beer… WIN! Giving your guests wine stoppers. DOUBLE WIN!

Now, Frances and Dan are political people – they met on the campaign trail during the presidential elections and continued on the California governor’s election. So, when we met I asked – which canidate were you campaigning for. Maybe they’d read my blog, maybe they had seen my bumper stickers – but they hesitated to tell me they were Republican’s. :) Once it was divulged, I told them it was okay because I was the black sheep of my family – the lone Democrate! Dan said he too was a bit of a black sheep in his family of liberals. So, when Dan’s brother got up to toast the happy couple he made it a good one. In fact, he didn’t say much – but let someone else do the talking.
That was the response these two conservatives had to hearing the voice of Barack Obama come over the sound system wishing them a happy marriage. Way to go Brother!

Frances and Dan we LOVE you! Thank you so much for having us be a part of your amazing wedding. We loved it! Have a GREAT time in Egypt on your honeymoon!

WHA Holiday Party {Photo Booth}

I’m so excited to share this post with you! We have OFFICIALLY started offering photo booths as part of SMP! We did our first full blown, holy moly booth on Friday at La Rivage for Western Health Advantage’s annual holiday party. I have photographed WHA events before, but having the photo booth there made everything SO MUCH FUN! Here are some of my most favorite pictures (and quite a few familiar faces!)
Of course, I couldn’t resist the gravitational pull of the photo booth either… especially with a former bride and my BFF! Thank you WHA for such a ROCKING party, and for letting SMP be a part of it! Photo booths are SO MUCH FUN! We are so excited to be offering them for our wedding clients as well as for private parties! Let the good times ROLL!!! ;)

Meghan and Sara Jane {head shots}

Our dear friends (and former brides!) Sara Jane and Meghan came up to Sacramento a couple of weeks ago to visit with us, snuggle our babies and get some head shots done. SJ and Meg are some talented ladies, and are working on everything from modeling to voice over. Basically, they are amazing. It was so much fun to photograph them again, but this time with such a different intent. They rocked out their head shot session just as well as their wedding though. :)

And, of course, I couldn’t resist grabbing a few shots of them together with their adorable pup, Albie.

Thanks to SJ and Meg (and Albie too!) for being such good sports and for being such lovelies! We adore you, and are so excited for this new adventure in your lives!
