Amanda & Anthony’s Forest House Lodge Wedding Extravaganza

Sarah Maren Photographers
Fabulous Amanda and Anthony were married earlier this month at the beautiful Forest House Lodge in Foresthill, California. (Fun fact: I love this venue because my best friend’s Grandma lives across the street and I like waving to her house.) Amanda and Anthony have SUCH an amazing group of people that love them very, very much. Their family and friends are such a blast to be around! It felt like hanging out with old friends – that always makes taking pictures so much easier and so much more fun.

I SUPER loved Amanda and Anthony’s programs. They were save-the-dates for their 50th wedding anniversary party. How freaking cute is that? And to make their coolness even more apparent, they had a first look and they were ADORABLE!

I REALLY love the Forest House Lodge’s wedding ceremony site. It is one of the most beautiful places to say I do around.

After some portraits of our wedding party and family portraits we got some pictures of our happy couple. The light was SOOOO pretty! SO PRETTY!

Then it was party time! After a slideshow, some incredibly heartfelt toasts, cake cutting and tossing of the garter and bouquet this crowd GOT DOWN! It was a great party for a GREAT couple.

Thank you Amanda and Anthony for having us be a part of your SUPER AWESOME wedding! Check out more from their big day by watching their SLIDESHOW HERE or below.

Shavonda and Naomi Tied The Knot!

Beautiful, wonderful and amazing Shavonda and Naomi had one of our favorite weddings ever last month. In fact, they got married on their anniversary – which also happens to be OUR anniversary (August 25th if you’re wondering) and we LOVE that we share such a special day with them. We started off with Shavonda getting ready. Shavonda’s shoes were to DIE for! And her dresses… yes, she had two and I LOVED THEM! Honestly, there was just a lot of pretty at this wedding. So let me show ya some of it.

Because Shavonda and Naomi are super awesome, they had a First Look. The first picture is Naomi being really proud that she wasn’t the first to cry. Apparently, there was a wager going for who would cray first. But, their first look was even more super special because this is where Shavonda FINALLY got her engagement ring. Her reaction was FANTASTIC!

Then we all piled into the limo and headed off for some portraits with our fabulous bridal party.

And then we were back to Beatnik for the ceremony and party! Everyone put on white knots when they walked into the wedding. You can check out more info at WhiteKnot.org Dustin and I put ours on our camera bag and camera strap… where they will stay until everyone can get married! I also love that they did a ring warming – where they pass their rings among the guests so everyone blesses the rings and become participants in the ceremony. I think this is such a beautiful way to include everyone. And I also loved that they jumped the broom! Another tradition I love!

We took a few minutes for some lovely portraits of our brides and then got them into their party before we took them out for MORE portraits. You all know how I love me a sunset portrait. And this wedding was catered by a taco truck! A TACO TRUCK! So, basically it was my idea of heaven.

Clarissa and Brian’s Downtown Wedding

Clarissa and Brian are SO awesome, and of course their wedding was just fantastic. They had their big day at the fabulous Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento. Everything was beautiful, especially our lovely bride Clarissa. It was awesome.

Brian and his fellas got ready down the street at my favorite place ever, The Citizen Hotel. Dustin always such a great job with the boys. I love going through his pictures! They always look like such fun.

Clarissa and Brian had a beautiful ceremony with not one, but TWO pastors! I kind of love it when their are two pastors… I’m not sure why, but it just seems even better. Double the awesome of a ceremony. And this one was pretty awesome, full of lots of awesome love from a very awesome couple!

How cute are they? I love them! And I really love this next shot Dustin got. How cute is Clarissa showing off her new wedding ring?

Then it was party time! And party they did! The best part of the LibGal is it’s big ol’ dance floor. These crazy kids and their awesome family and friends sure put that space to good use. It was incredible! And yes, Brian worked the Michael Jackson dance entrance. It was so cool! I was very impressed.

THANK YOU Clarissa and Brian for being so wonderful, and for trusting us and for being just so much fun. Your wedding was incredible! YOU are incredible! Thank you for having us be a part of your wedding. We loved every second. Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more of their fantastic day!

Lissette and James are about to get hitched!

Fabulous Lissette and James are getting married THIS WEEKEND! So I thought I should share their super awesome engagement pictures with you. We headed out to Grand Island Mansion for their pictures because it’s a place Lissette has always loved. Luckily, so have I! Dustin and I had a great time photographing these two and we can’t wait for their wedding on Sunday!

Hooray for love! We can’t wait to see these two say I do! Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more yummy engagement photos.

Cat and Colin’s Lovely Half Moon Bay Wedding

Cat and Colin were married last month in beautiful Half Moon Bay, California. It was SUCH a beautiful day for a seaside wedding. Cat and Colin picked a beautiful house right on the cliffs to have their intimate wedding. I fell deeply in love with this house! Seriously, it was a perfect wedding location. And Cat and Colin sure had one heck of a great wedding. I loved all the ocean details they added to their wedding day. It was just lovely.

This in one of the most beautiful ceremony locations we’ve ever photographed. It was absolute perfection!

Cat and Colin have been together for a long time, so their ceremony was full of memories of their past and hope for their future. It was pretty awesome. Their family and friends were just SO excited for them. It was really awesome to be a part of such palpable love and excitement.

I loved their wedding details too! Beautiful stationary put together by Angela dal Bon made everything come together so perfectly. But I have to say the coolest thing about this reception was the catering… it was Sam’s Chowder Truck! Now, you know how I love all things food but I REALLY love a great food truck. It was such a great way to treat their guests to some delicious treats.

Congratulations to Cat and Colin on their marriage! We wish you loves a lifetime of happiness together. Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more from their wedding by the sea.
