Alyson and Adam’s Stunning Crocker Wedding by Alchemy

I loved EVERYTHING about Alyson and Adam’s wedding. From start to finish it was just a great day filled with all the things I like best about wedding: family, friends, food and fun. SO much fun. Alyson and Adam have known each other for a long time (like elementary school long time) and their group of friends have been with them just as long. As a girl who met her best friend in second grade I can appreciate these kind of long relationships and the joy they bring. It was fabulous being present for such a long-awaited, much celebrated marriage. There was not one person there who didn’t LOVE Alyson and Adam – you could almost reach out your hand and grab a fistful of the stuff. It was one of those events wedding photographers dream about. Then add on the fact that this was an ALCHEMY wedding – well it just doesn’t get better. Kate Miller Events did an amazing job with the planning and Flourish gave us so much pretty with the florals it was like I didn’t even have to try there was just so much beauty. Take a peek at one of our favorites from 2012!

It’s always awesome to have Hello Glam! doing hair and makeup for a wedding. Just turns the fun scale up a notch or twelve.

I thought I had a HUGE wedding party when I got married when there were 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, but Alyson and Adam made that seem small with their awesome group of friends. Seriously, this was the best bridal party I’ve ever worked with. They were AMAZING!

Off we zoomed to The Crocker for their big day! I loved the ceremony in the ballroom of the original Crocker with their reception in the courtyard. PERFECT!

The decor Kate and Shannon came up with was so awesome. And the escort cards were one of my favorite parts! Each guest got a custom painting of California landmarks. It was such a great nod to where the wedding took place and the theme of their day. I loved it!

Their reception was just one heck of a great party! From hilarious and heart-felt toasts (thank you groomsman who used photos from Jr. High of the bride and groom for presenting the worlds best wedding toast!) to the packed dance floor it was a wonderful night celebrating an incredible couple.

A big thank you to Alyson and Adam for having us be a part of their beautiful wedding! Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more of the pretty!

Jaymee and Drew’s Beautiful Day Engagement Session

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about Jaymee and Drew’s wedding. I met Jaymee years ago when I photographed her family portraits. I am THRILLED to be photographing their wedding this fall at the STUNNING Berkeley Botanical Gardens. It’s going to be amazing for sure!!

The weather was absolutely incredible for their shoot! I’m so glad we didn’t call it on account of rain, because it was a PERFECT day for shooting. Take a peek at their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more of their super pretty engagement session.

Jenny and Allen’s Classic Citizen Hotel Wedding

Jenny and Allen got married on a stunningly beautiful day last fall at my all-time favorite place to have a wedding in Sacramento, The Citizen Hotel. Their wedding was a mix of cultures, families and lots of love. Their event was beautifully crafted by the insanely talented Kate Miller Events with the lovely flowers provided by Blooms by Martha. It was a beautiful day filled with so much joy! We are so happy we got to be a part of such an incredible event.

The fellas sure seemed to be having a good time as they got ready as well. I love seeing all the pictures Dustin takes as he hangs out with the guys pre-ceremony. It’s usually pretty different from the ladies, and always pretty fun.

I LOVE this next shot of Jenny seeing her Dad. We stepped out of the elevator and there was Jenny’s family! We were headed to do the first look with Allen, and her dad just happened to be there. It was a really beautiful moment and I’m so happy we were there to capture it.

Then it was time for a first look and a katubah signing! Hooray!!

Jenny and Allen had their ceremony in the ballroom and it was SUCH a beautiful set up. We just loved it!

We grabbed some more pictures of our lovely couple before heading up to the terrace for their incredibly fun reception.

Didn’t the terrace look amazing?! I loved how soft and beautiful everything was. What can I say, I’m a sucker for pretty.

Thanks to Jenny and Allen for having us be a part of their awesome wedding. Jenny left us the nicest review! Thanks for your kind words, they mean so much to us!

“My wedding day photos are amazing and I couldn’t be happier. They also did the engagement shots which were phenomenal. We did book them for an extra 1.5 hours to make sure they were there for all the special moments – It was totally worth it. When they left I felt they had all the important shots. We got our photos within 2 weeks!! And the cute little “brag book” that has some of the best shots. Overall I love love love the photos and couldn’t be happier.”

Cassy and Keysia’s Thunderstorm of Love Engagement Session

Cassy and Keysia are the kind of couple you just INSTANTLY fall in love with. I so clearly remember their consultation with me and how I just adored everything about this incredible couple. They are funny and honest and play off each other in the most endearing way. When they left I prayed to the god of wedding photography that they would book me, and HOORAY! They did! We did their engagement session late last fall on a day that was threatening tornadoes in downtown Sacramento. So OF COURSE we went on top of a parking structure… if your life has not been in danger once or twice during your engagement session, then I’m not doing my job right. Luckily, we were not whisked off to Oz but we DID make some REALLY pretty pictures. Check it out!

See! Cassy and Keysia are the MOST adorable! I’m so excited we get to be a part of their big day at Cornerstone in Sonoma later this year. HOORAY! Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more pretty on a stormy day.

Summer + Greg’s Newcastle, California Engagement Session

Summer and Greg are getting married this spring at the stunning Miner’s Foundry later this spring and we are SO stinking happy for them. Summer came and did a Closed Door Session with me a few years ago, and now she’s our bride! I am so happy we get to be a part of this incredible time in her and Greg’s life. Dustin and I headed up to Newcastle to Greg’s family farm where we started their beautiful late fall engagement session before heading to Old Town Newcastle. The light was BANANAS the whole darn time! I loved it!

We are SO excited for their big day! I mean, how could we not be with a couple so awesome. :)
