Lauren is a Wild Thing {personal}

Yesterday my sister and I took our cute kids to the Sacramento Zoo for a day of fun and frolic among the wild beasties. We haven’t been to the zoo since Lauren’s birthday, and as yesterday turned out to be just stunning I was so glad to have had a day off and the chance to hang with my cute family. I really love the picture holes they have at the zoo… they make me happy. Here is our gang… minus me… of course.

Then we rode the zoo train and the beautiful new carousel. Lauren had such a great time on both! She decided the fishy was the animal she wanted to ride, and really… I think it was an excellent choice.

It was just an awesome day with my cute girl. I am so glad she is an adventurous kid who loves animals (she REALLY wanted to play with the flamingos). She is one heck of a great kid and I’m super glad she’s mine.

    MIke and I were at the Zoo yesterday!!! We had a coupon and decided it would be something fun and different to do. Too bad we didn’t run into each other and what a coincidence!

    What happened to the wedding yesterday?! Your last post said you were shooting on Saturday and would be gone all weekend! Am I dreaming? Looks like you had a great day at the zoo!

    No wedding on Saturday Emily. I wrote the last post on Friday, the day we shot a wedding. And then, like I said, the rest of the weekend was about me and my baby girl. :)

    I’m a dork and can’t figure out twitter so I will just respond here. You may not be getting photography “work” done, but by being with Lauren, you are getting your best work done. Remember the famous quote by Jacquie Kennedy, “if you bungle your children, I don’t thinks whatever else you do really matters.” So take heart you are working!!!
