We have been busting out the eSessions over here at Sarah Maren Photography as we prepare for a 2 month hiatus in the middle of the summer so I can have this kid I’m making evacuate my womb. So, my darling fall and winter couples have been very gracious about scheduling their eSessions a little early so they are not being photographed by me when I am to water buffalo size. Frances and Dan are getting married this Decemeber, and oh how I love them! They are so stinkin’ cute, and seriously a lot of fun to be around. We bonded over a coffee at Temple and then headed out to get our eSession on! These two are so cute together! I just love everything about them!

I just really, REALLY love this picture of Frances… she’s so pretty.

Frances is OBSESSED with the Tower Bridge, so we worked it into their shoot too. What’s funny is I’ve never really shot ON the bridge that much, so this was fun to do some experimenting. Luckily this couple was up it, and it totally paid off!

Nikki and Luke {eSession}

Last weekend Dustin and I had the pleasure of photographing Nikki and Luke at the stables at Cal Expo. I mean, seriously, how cool are they? Luke is a harness racer and he brought out one of his favorite horses for some of the shots. I loved it!

Then we got to head over to the track for some pictures. We even ventured over to a very empty Cal Expo for a few shots. It’s kind of crazy being in empty Cal Expo when really I’ve only been there for concerts and the state fair. It was fun though!

shannon and cliff {esession}

Shannon and Cliff are a really awesome couple! We LOVED the ideas they had for their eSession over the weekend. We met up with them Sunday morning and began our fun adventure together. We started things off at the movie theater they went on their first date. The kind assistant manager gave us an empty theater for a few minutes and Dustin set up some lights and we made a little magic where the magic began for Shannon and Cliff.

Isn’t Shannon a beauty? Oh my goodness she is going to be one smokin’ hot bride! After the theater we headed over to some big grass and pretty trees.

Then came Dustin’s favorite part of the shoot. Cliff rides a motorcycle, and so does Dustin! So, he was very excited that Shannon and Cliff wanted to incorporate the bike into their shoot. I LOVE how these images turned out! They are kind of old school romantic, and I like it. Now, you won’t catch me on the back of Dustin’s bike for a million bucks, but Shannon made it look easy… and oh so hot!

sara and dustin {esession}

Sara and Dustin are so stinkin’ rad! And not just because we happen to share the same names… but for so many other reasons! They are funny, smart and OH so much fun to be around. Dustin and I met up with them downtown over the weekend and had a blast shooting their eSession. They had lots of ideas, brought props, and were up for anything. Oh, and did I mention they are madly in love and not afraid to let anyone know about it? Because yeah, they are. All in all… it was perfect.

We had some BEAUTIFUL light to work with, and it made me oh so happy.

I mean SERIOUSLY! These two are adorable! They brought along Dustin’s guitar and a book for Sara. Dustin apparently used the guitar as part of his wooing of Sara and it WORKED. He tried to teach her a cord while we were shooting and it lead to a whole lot of cuteness.

Then we headed down to Old Sac (with everyone else in Sacramento apparently) for a few images with the Tower Bridge.

Sara and Dustin we are SO excited to be a part of your wedding! Thank you so much for being so much fun and so willing to do anything! We can’t wait for your wedding and day after session!! Hooray! ashley and chris {esession}

Ashley and Chris are one seriously delightful couple. Both are teachers (bless them!) and both are just a whole lot of fun. We met up with these two last week for their engagement session in Old Sacramento. The weather was dry, but the sky turned pretty dramatic at the end of our shoot, so of course we had to rock that out. It was a lovely afternoon spent with these two cuties.

Despite the cold and the darkness that descended on us super quickly, Ashley and Chris rocked their esession and made me SO excited for there wedding this June. I can’t wait! Check out more of their extremely adorable session in their SLIDESHOW HERE or in the box below.

amber and sam {eSession}

I’ve known Amber and Sam for a long time. In fact, I knew them before they WERE Amber AND Sam… just when Amber was Amber and Sam was Sam. But, I must say, that since the “and” has come into their lives things have been pretty fantastic. Once upon a time when I worked in an office we all worked together. And after I left to become a full time photographer I was blessed to still keep in touch with a lot of the people I’d worked with. Many of them were so incredibly supportive of my decision to follow my dream, and of my supporters Amber and Sam were among the biggest. So, when they told me they were getting married in December I told them I didn’t care that I was already sold out for 2009 and that I don’t normally shoot in December. I told them I was their photographer and there was nothing they could do about it. I am so grateful to them for being so gracious and letting me bully them into my services. I mean, hello! They are incredibly adorable right?

Amber’s super cute son, Tsi, joined us at the beginning of our shoot so we could rock out some pictures with him as well. Seriously, could he be any more handsome? I just want to take him home in my pocket!

And then it was time to focus on our happy couple. I can’t even put into words how much joy I have from being a part of this wedding. Never have I known two more centered people, who are so happy and so deeply in love. They bring out the very best in each other and it is a blessing to be able to witness it.

Amber and Sam, I ADORE YOU! You are my very own Jim and Pam. Thank you for letting me be a part of this incredibly beautiful time in your lives. I can’t wait for your wedding!!! Jennifer and Josh {eSession}

Dustin and I had the great pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Josh in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. Jennifer and I are soul sisters. When we first met, she was coming to Sac to go to the Britney concert. Yeah… SOUL MATES! Our love of pop music, makeup and all things pink and orange sealed the deal. Then, I met Josh! HELLO HANDSOME! As if Jenny could have made this photographing her wedding deal any sweeter! It was so fun hanging out with this beautiful pair and taking their engagement pictures.

After cruising around the streets a little bit, we headed over to Baker Beach. Of course, it was one of the most beautiful days I’ve ever had the pleasure of be a part of in San Francisco, but the Golden Gate Bridge was completely engulfed in fog! We didn’t let that put a damper on us though… we rocked out some fun pictures on the beach.

Ken and Raquel {eSession with Gwyneth Colleen}

Hey, you guys! I’m back from the East Coast and I have been so freaking crazy busy that I haven’t been able to blog all the radical things I want to blog. I have SO MUCH TO BLOG! But, I really wanted to share a few of the images I shot with the lovely, talented and oft hilarious Gwyneth Colleen whilst I was in New England. My red eye flight was delayed for 3 hours, so I got into Boston about 1pm and um, I was not cute. People who are cute after a million hour long flight across the country make me really jealous… and a little sad. Anyhow, I had no makeup on (anyone who knows me knows this is just something I don’t do often) and short hair after long flight is never a good thing. No matter, Gwyn had a shoot and I had cameras so off we went with her being adorable and me being kinda gross. Good times.

But then Gwyn took me to Taco Loco and the food was good and I was refreshed, and then she took me to the loveliest bunker on all of the Maine seaboard! Who would have thought that a bunker could be such a gold mine of photographic wonders! I had such fun shooting this beautiful couple with such a cool person as Gwyn. Really… could they be cuter? I mean they look this awesome even though there was so much humidity I thought I was drowning! I can never thank Gwyn enough for not photographing me… really… never!

There are lots more images to share from my time in New England and hopefully I will get that done soon. I seriously can’t thank Gwyn enough for being the hostess with the mostest. There will be much blogging soon! I also have pictures from our Seattle Trip and my pre-birthday celebration with my cute sister! Not to mention weddings and eSessions and family shoots OH MY! jenny and brandon {eSession}

Jenny and Brandon are such cuties! And on top of all that cuteness there is so much love, and so much joy that it is absolutely infectious. Dustin and I feel so blessed to know these two, and to be a part of their wedding this November. A couple weeks ago Dustin and I flew on up to Seattle, Washington to rock out an eSession with these two lovelies. It was THE. MOST. BEAUTIFUL. weekend EVER!! The weather was amazing and we had so much fun photographing this awesome couple. Seriously, I couldn’t ask for more.

We had a wonderful time walking around Seattle with all of its lovely landmarks and light that just made my heart stop. Seriously! Seattle in the summer is where it’s at! That 20 minutes of golden light we get at Sunset here? Yeah! OVER AN HOUR of that light up North. Man, it was something else and I loved every stinkin’ second!!!

After walking along the waterfront area for a while, we hopped in a cab up Queen Anne’s Hill to get some shots overlooking the city. Um… all I can say is AMAZING!!!! It was breathtaking!

I seriously can’t thank Jenny and Brandon enough for bringing us up to their new hometown for this session. We had the most wonderful time, and are SOOOOOOO excited for their wedding! Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or in the box below for more images of this magical couple in the Emerald City.

Jill and Jacob {eSession}

Beautiful Jill! Handsome Jake! Cuteness that won’t quit mixed with some seriously good humor makes one hell of an awesome couple – and also, a pretty rockin’ eSession if you ask me. We met up with Jill and Jacob in Davis, California to walk around and make some fun pictures of this super cool couple.

And then we headed on over to the UC Davis Campus to their beautiful arboretum. I seriously love that place… it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. And even better we got there at just the right time for some amazing light. It makes me so happy when the light is all cooperative with me and stuff.

Also… they brought their super cute doggies… and we did a little photoshoot of them too.
