Keegan is actually about to turn one here in a few days, but I wanted to share his super fun 9 month portraits we took a while back. Keegan is one of my favorites, and he just gets cuter every time I see him. We went to a park to let Keegan do what he does best - PLAY!

Oh my gosh! Can you believe his eyelashes? Such a cutie this one.

Thanks again to Whitney, Phil and Keegan for such a rocking session. I can’t wait for our next session! I can’t believe he’s almost a year old! Check out the SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more awesome pics of this cutie!

Seo Family {portraits}

The Seo family is one dang cute bunch. Two rambunctious boys and two adorable parents make for some super fun pictures. Especially when there is ice cream at the end of the shoot. :)

One of the even more awesome things about this family is how they got their session by supporting their schools PTA. My BFF Jill has two lovely daughters and I am their fairy godmother. So, being a good fairy godmother means donating to their schools. It was fun to hear all about the bidding war! But I’m so thrilled this family won. They were so fun!

Thank you awesome Seo family for a rockin’ shoot and for supporting the PTA! You guys are the best!
Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or in the box below for more from their super cool shoot!

So I was on Twitter one day and my dear friend Maria wrote “I REALLY need some family pictures.” As a photographer I KNOW how that feels. I know what it’s like to not have any pictures of your family with you in them. It’s the worst part of being a photographer! You have hundreds upon thousands of images of your kids and your husband, but none of you with them! I was thrilled to tell Maria I would happily take pictures of her ADORABLE family. I mean really, look at her babies! They are the cutest!

The first time I met Maria we were both attending a photography workshop. We were paired up for an exercise where we had to talk without any input from the other for 2 minutes. Both of us talked about our families and our cute husbands. Hearing her talk about her family meant the world to me. So, being able to make images of her and that family was a great joy, and a huge honor.

Seriously! How cute are Kash and Leah? Tut and Maria can sure make cute kids! I just adored photographing them!

It was a pleasure photographing Maria and Tut together too. Leah and Kash helped out by making faces at them the whole time I was shooting them… even still there is electricity between these two. When I was culling the images I thought, “This is what meant to be looks like.”

Also, the picture below is probably my favorite picture Dustin has ever taken. It is SO perfect!

Of course, these kids couldn’t stop being cute, so I couldn’t stop taking pictures of them!

Big huge thanks to Tut, Maria, Kash and Leah for making this shoot spectacular! I adored every second with you guys. Thanks for being such delightful friends. We love you! Check out the SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more images of this super special family.

The Johnson’s {Family Portraits}

You know what I love about the world? I love that it is so small. You may not know this, but Dustin works for a pest control company by day and for Sarah Maren Photography by… well… the rest of the time. While he was working his day job he met Gabe and Sarah as they were moving into their new home. They chatted about having toddlers and ants and all that good stuff. Dustin told them about us, and about family portraits. He left them with a card and tips on avoiding infestations. Later that week, Gabe and Sarah met up with their friends who are getting married soon. Their friends insisted everyone look at their engagement pictures who had been taken by… ME! Mandy and Scott shared their pictures and not long after that, Gabe gave me a call. It was so meant to be!

Gabe and Sarah have a beautiful almost 2 year old son, Landon. He is HILARIOUS and ALL BOY! I have a very girlie girl, so sometimes boys surprise me with how brave and rambunctious they can be. And although Landon is definitely both, it was so much fun photographing him and his mom and dad. We had a great time just finding spaces around their home for pictures, and letting Landon be Landon.

Of course we had to get some pictures of Sarah and Gabe too! I mean, hello! Could they BE any cuter?
And of course, we took loads of pictures of the three of them together.

We headed over to one of Landon’s favorite places… the park! The light was AMAZING and we had a blast playing around.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Johnson family for inviting Dustin and I to photograph your beautiful family! We loved spending time with you and love the images we made together. Check out the SLIDESHOW HERE or in the box below for more of this awesome family!
