It’s that time of year again kids! Time for me to share all the weirdo pictures we take of each other while we are working. There are A LOT this year… like too many to share. But this is from 30 weddings and engagement sessions and commercial shoots and family portraits and holy moly we took a lot of pictures this year. Not only that, but we’ve got to work with so many awesome couples and so many amazing vendors. We had such a great year, and feel so grateful to do what we love with people who rock!

Testing photo booths has become a goldmine of shoot out photos.

As always, we want to thank all the awesome people we have been so blessed to work with. While I wasn’t carrying a baby around in my belly this year we still had a great time with our friends. Thanks to my beloved bestie Bethie B for shooting a wedding with me, the fabulous glamazons LeiLani and Renee of Hello Glam for making so many of my brides so very pretty, the incredible Shannon of Flourish for making so many wedding so darn pretty, and the awesome team of Kate Miller Events for making my job so damn fun! We love you guys and can’t wait to work with you lots more in 2012.

We also had the joy of spending a few days with our lovely Tammy Swales while she was in Califoria this fall. She was a peach and came and hung out with us while we worked a photo booth – and dang that girl is fun.

And of course we have to show some love to Francisco for rockin’ our Sacramento photo booths and being a great assistant.

I’m sitting at my desk, trying to plow through the last of an inbox that seems to multiply overnight and thinking about how wild this year has been. Despite how crazy this year has been, it has been equally awesome. But I can’t lie to you… I’m really excited about turning my computer off… FOR THE NEXT FOUR DAYS! That’s right kids, it’s my Christmas present to me! I’m shutting down the computer, turning off the phone and closing the door to my office until Tuesday, December 27th. Dustin and I shot 31 weddings this year and 35 engagement sessions, we shot the new campaign for the Downtown Sacramento Partnership (more on that later), some magazine pieces and family portraits. So, we’ve been BUSY! And honestly, I really miss my babies. I am very excited to just be a mama for the next few days.

With that, I wish you all the HAPPIEST of holidays! We hope you and yours enjoy this most wonderful time of the year. We will be back next week because HELLO! I’m SO behind on blogging and have SO much to share. I think I’ll start with our yearly shoot out slideshow. See you next week!!

My really handsome baby boy turned ONE today. ONE! How can that be? How did a whole year go by? It is has been SO FAST! But our boy is officially one year old and we just love being his family. Ben is SUCH a good kid. He is seriously the cutest thing ever. Like, people we don’t know develop crushes on him at the grocery store. I’m not sure if it’s his big blue eyes, crooked yet charming smile, devil-may-care hair do and the adorable sweetness that just pours out of him, but this kid is a keeper.
I feel so blessed to be this kids mama. He has the BEST disposition ever (though I will admit, he does have a bit of a temper… especially if he’s hungry) but he is just such a sweet heart. He also has such an incredible sense of humor. He will just bust out laughing at stuff. We aren’t sure what’s funny, but whatever it is it’s a riot. He LOVES his big sister Lauren, and I so love watching them together. They have their typical sibling moments from time to time, but for the bulk of the time they are just head over heels in love with each other. Ben loves hanging out with Lauren when she’s in her room, watching Yo Gabba Gabba or Backyardagins with her, and playing around with his sis. He isn’t walking yet, but I think that’s because he can crawl so crazy fast that he just doesn’t want to slow down! And really, I’m okay with him needing me to hold him for a while longer.
