Oh Rachel and Darren! The love! The laughter! The tears! The dancing! Seriously, yesterday’s wedding KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF! Add to all that awesome I got to shoot with THREE of my best photog buddies and well… it was magical. Don’t believe me… well… maybe this will convince you.

I seriously can’t wait to share these images with you all… and hopefully will be able to do so pre-baby. But if not… here is one more to tide you over.

Dustin and I shot the wonderful Annie and Troy’s wedding on Sunday and it was NON STOP AWESOME from beginning to end. We can’t wait to share more images from their big day with you… but for now you get this little taste of the coolness that is to come. Congratulations Annie and Troy!

Peek-A-Boo! {sneak peeks}

We have been shooting some really awesome people lately and it’s just killing me not to share every single thing RIGHT THIS MINUTE! I mean, we got to shoot Aimee and Jarrod’s incredible wedding in Malibu this weekend… and hello! They brought the pretty, and they brought a lot of it.

And earlier last week we met up with the ADORABLE Lambert family to rock out some family portraits. Hanging around an energetic 2 year old boy for a couple hours made me realize I am in store for A LOT of running once this baby boy of mine is born. But, if he’s as cute as Brody I’m totally cool with that.

And then there was Maisey’s super fun Senior Portrait session in Old Sac. Let me just tell you that Maisey is one of the most fun shoots we’ve had in a while, and I can’t WAIT to show you how this girl ROCKED her session. Seriously, I love everything about her shoot!

So, that’s some of the really cool stuff we have in store for you in the coming days. And we have even more awesome sessions lined up this week and next! Let’s be honest, it’s just a wave of awesome for the rest of 2010, so there is lots to look forward too! More soon!

Saturday marked the beginning of the 2010 wedding season here at SMP and HOLY MOLY did Allyson and Ben do us proud. I seriously can’t wait to get these pictures all rocked out because we had the most fun ever photographing these two and their amazing friends and family. I just am so excited about 2010! And these two have set the tone! I mean, when I said to these two crazy kids, “Hey, look! A gun store! Let’s take my liberal self in there and take some pictures of you guys with big ol’ guns!” They RAN INTO THE STORE! Yeah, I love them.

Out of Office and Sneaky Peekies Galore!

So, as many of you know I’m heading off for a week long vacation with my adorable family. I am SO FREAKING EXCITED I CAN’T STAND IT! We are taking LJ to Disneyland for the first time and I seriously feel like a kid at Christmas. I am so excited for her to see all the things she loves so much! This is more exciting to me than my OWN first Disneyland experience. It’s going to be awesome and I just can’t wait. Of course, getting ready to go on vacation is a job itself. I’ve been pulling a lot of late nights trying to get everything done before we leave. Sadly, I shot more than I could edit in such a shot amount of time and won’t be able to get everyone their entire collections before we leave. I do however have some sneak peeks for you!

I can’t properly express how much I love this picture… like I think it should be a canvas in the studio. Don’t you think so too?

Thanks to my awesome clients for being so patient. Being creative EVERY SINGLE DAY is so much harder than I ever thought it could be. Doing what I love is such a blessing, but it is definitely hard work and I am so happy to be having a little time off to recharge my batteries and spend some time with my family. I feel so blessed to have such a supportive husband and such a delightful daughter. I am just going to bask in the light they give me for the next week. Thank you all for everything! Busy, Busy! {Sneak Peeks + Out Of Office}

Holy Moly September and October have been hectic to say the least. It’s always a crazy time of year with getting geared up for the holiday season and because fall is the new summer when it comes to weddings. We’ve shot 6 weddings in 6 weeks and have two more this month. We are so excited about the 4 weddings we have left for our 2009 season. I can hardly believe it, but we have MORE THAN HALF of our 2010 dates sold and are no long taking commissions for the month of June 2010. We only have one available weekend each in May and July 2010 as well. Thank you to all of my amazing couples for being so freaking awesome and for having us be a part of this great time in your lives together.

I know my cute couples from the last couple of weeks are anxiously awaiting their images, so I have a couple sneak peeks for you guys. First the ever lovely Natasha and Stetson followed by the fantastic Jill and Jacob.

I can’t wait to share more of these lovely wedding with you guys! They are so fabulous!

Also, I wanted to let you all know that I am out of the office for the rest of the week. I am shooting a fabulous fundraiser for the Rainforest Action Network tonight in San Francisco, and then a wedding in San Ramon and a family session for some of my most favorite people in the universe. I will be back in the office on Monday to return emails and phone calls and all that goodness. Thanks again to everyone for making 2009 so freaking great and for giving me so much to look forward to in 2010! See you on Monday! Have a great weekend!

September! September has been a busy one. Seriously, how is it the 21st of September? I have no idea. But, what I do know is this month has been filled with awesome weddings, and we have one more to go, and basically I LOVE MY JOB! I feel so blessed to have such rockin’ couples! So, keep your eyes open for more from these lovely couples!

I am also really, REALLY excited to take today off. I haven’t had a day off in… well… a long time. And so, today Bethie and I are off to the spa for a full day of refreshment and rejuvenation. I am so excited about it that it is kinda silly. I am thrilled to be spending the day with my dear friend and recharging my batteries so I can get all these super rad pictures ready for everyone. With that… here are some fun pics of me and the Dusters we took of each other this month. Have I ever mentioned how much I love my husband? I mean, he’s super cute and brings me diet coke at weddings so really, what is NOT to love? He’s the best… and cute… oh so cute.

So, basically the month of August has been nothing short of spectacular. It was my birthday, my anniversary, I didn’t have swine flu just regular flu AND I got shoot some AMAZING AND WONDERFUL people! I have LOTS of super cool stuff coming down the pipe. For example… Sara Jane and Meghan’s BEAUTIFUL wedding in Sonoma, California.

And the awesome thing is… I’m not even done yet! I’m shooting Lisa and Geoff’s Day After session this weekend and it is going to ROCK! I’m so freaking excited!

Just as an FYI, I will be out of the office all day tomorrow as my dear friend and studio mate Beth is sweeping me off to San Francisco to look at ancient ruins and dead peoples tombs… it how she shows me love. My email and voicemail has gotten kind of backlogged this week since I’ve been under the weather. The doctor has me all hooked up on some stellar antibiotics though, so I should be back in fighting form by Monday. Expect emails and phone calls then. Have a great weekend!

Here is just a TASTE of Ashleigh and Kris’s AMAZING wedding we shot on Saturday at Serrano Country Club. IT was such an awesome wedding in fact that it was taped for Platinum Weddings! As luck would have it, it was a beautiful day with absolutely perfect weather and an awesome group of some of the funnest people ever. Seriously, a GREAT time! I can’t wait to share more with you!!! There are SO MANY PICTURES!!! For now, you just going to have to look at this teaser over and over.
