Portraits

I got a phone call from one of my 2009 grooms a few months back asking me to do some portraits for his lovely wife’s first mothers day! Of course, I had to say yes! Tim and Karen had handsome Gavin join their family in July of 2010 (just a few weeks after Ben joined our family!) and has been the apple of his parents eye ever since. When I met him, it was clear why. He is just a delight! I had such a lovely afternoon photographing this darling baby and his lovely mother.

We wanted to take some pictures around their neighborhood, and as we gathered up everything we kept hearing sirens. Well, that was because there was a fire…. apparently a pretty big one… just down the street. And then it ended up making a pretty fun picture.

Thank you to Gavin and Karen for being such lovely subjects, and to Tim for being such a thoughtful husband and dad. Have a peek at the SLIDESHOW HERE or below and see lots of Gavin being 100% adorable.

Seriously, these are some of my favorite people in the universe. I met Katie at Stacy and Gavin’s wedding last year and it was kind of like love at first sight. Katie and I GET each other. We are loud, opinionated, sassy and drop dead gorgeous. Aside from that we also have two cute kids and super awesome husbands. SOUL MATES! Way back when Katie and I chatted about getting her family portraits done, and we finally made that happen a couple weeks ago and I am so glad we did! Her handsome husband, Mike and adorable girls, Emma and Abbey made this one awesome photo shoot!

I totally love these pictures of Katie and Mike… that’s love kids… right there.

And how stunning is Emma? SO STUNNING!

At several points in our shoot darling Abbey would stop to “do some yoga” as she told us. Clearly, she is the cutest thing ever.

Even Dad got in on the heart shaped sunglasses… can you blame him?

How freaking cute is this family? I love them! Abbey, our cute yogi master, is having open heart surgery tomorrow (hence her bitchin’ heart sunglasses) so PLEASE send down a wish, or send up a prayer (in the immortal words of Rachel Barry) for our beloved Abbey’s super speedy recovery. She is one incredible kid, and we want her better and yoga-ing it up soon! Check out the SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more of this fabulous family!

Beautiful baby Celia! How lucky am I to have photographed this little angel girl! I met her sweet parents last year when I photographed the RSVP Choir that they sing with. While we were waiting for all the choir members to arrive I fell in love with Sarah and Cory and their incredible personalities. They both have such a fabulous sense of humor, and were so obviously in love with each other. It was very exciting to get an email from Cory a few month later letting me know Sarah was pregnant and they wanted me to photograph their new addition when she arrived. I couldn’t wait! Sure enough their daughter is just as adorable as I thought she would be, and seems to already have her own great sense of humor. Apparently, the day before our shoot she slept like a CHAMP and was in the best mood ever! But on the day OF our shoot she slept for exactly 4 minutes the whole time I was there and her mood was not what I would call good. However, we managed to make some pretty fine images of this very fine family.

Isn’t she the cutest? Her parents sure do like her a lot… which is a good thing for sure.
I remember those first few weeks when Lauren was a baby… she reshaped everything in just seconds and you can tell that Celia has carved her parents universe into a whole new, beautiful shape.

I love the look Sarah and Cory are exchanging in this next picture… I know that look… every new parent knows that look.

Cory, Sarah and Celia thank you so much for letting me come into your home and record this amazing time in the life of your family. I am so very happy for you, and can’t wait to watch Celia grow. Congratulations on one heck of a cute baby girl. Check out their SLIDESHOW HERE or below for more images of this beautiful family.
