Diana and Brandon and their glorious wedding make my heart so deeply happy.  Not only was it the first time I got to be an Empire Mine Wedding Photographer, it was one of the loveliest days ever!  Diana has been following my work for almost a decade, which is awesome but also crazy because woah! How have I been doing this work so dang long?  But meeting these two was like meeting old friends.  It was a total joy to be part of their wedding.  Everyone was so happy for them, and the happiness was contagious.  I love these two and I am so happy for them and the new family they are starting. Congratulations to Diana and Brandon on the start of their forever!

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Diana: Our first look! I have a very clear memory of walking the path to where Brandon was waiting, and getting to finally see him and enjoy the fact that the day was FINALLY happening was so awesome! Plus I got to give him his sweet Carlos (our cat) cufflinks!

Brandon: Dinner! Just because that’s the first time we really got a chance to talk to people and mingle and not just be “on stage” so to speak.

Do you have any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

There’s no such thing as too early to start planning! We got engaged in December 2016 and started working on things not long after. Definitely got some raised eyebrows since we started almost 2 years

What was your favorite image from your wedding and why do you love it best?

Okay first of all I love all of them and picking a single favorite is impossible BUT IF YOU INSIST I will choose to single out the image below. I just adore how seriously HAPPY we both look! It’s not polished or posed, but it doesn’t matter because it totally shows us enjoying ourselves during our day!

Where did you honeymoon?

We spend about a week in New Orleans! It was a ton of fun. We saw a lot of cool stuff and ate a lot of really great food and just generally enjoyed some time to ourselves after such a busy week leading up to the wedding!
