As you may or may not know, I like more things than just taking pictures. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I freaking LOVE my job! But it is SO good for me (and for my clients if I’m being super honest) to diversify my creative outlets. One of the most fun things I’ve ever tried has been running a website with my best friend, Jill. We started A Wild Rumpus in 2013. Back then it was called Cap City Moms. Jill had this idea about making a cool spot on the interwebs for the moms of Sacramento. And so we made it! And it was awesome! So awesome in fact, that many members of our community weren’t mothers and didn’t live in Sacramento! So, we recently went through a rebrand and became A Wild Rumpus. And, honestly, it’s the freaking best thing we ever did. It’s more US! It’s more who we are and who we want to be. We had the incredible opportunity to debut A Wild Rumps this year at Downtown Sacramento’s 25th year of Concert In The Park. We were asked to take over their Instagram account for last weeks concert with headliners, The Brody’s. As an added bonus, performance artist David Garibaldi was there doing his AMAZING art. This was my first time seeing him do his thing and OH MAN! It was so much fun to photograph! I could take pictures of him doing his thing for DAYS! I blew threw most of the memory I brought with me and had to download everything to my phone before the bands started! It was so awesome to see a fellow Sacramento artist doing his things and being so great at it! I LOVE my hometown! Sacramento is an awesome place to live and I love it here so much. I am so happy that Jill and I have become part of the fabric of our city; that we are able to share with a community of Wild Rumpus Starters the world over just how much we love where we live. A huge thanks to the Downtown Sac Partnership for having us take over their Instagram! It was a blast!! And if you want to see more of my passion project follow the A Wild Rumpus IG too!
