Sarah and Jason! Seriously! Where do I even begin? Sarah and my sister have been friends for a LONG time. I remember her from high school days hanging out with my sister, being hilarious, being beautiful. Not much has changed in those departments. She is still funny and beautiful and has become successful woman and was by far one of the most beautiful brides ever. I had an amazing time photographing her wedding. She and Jason got married in Laguna Beach last month and despite a low marine layer, it was STUNNING! Dustin and I had an amazing time witnessing their wedding, and we are just beyond grateful that we got to be there for it. As always I started off with out bride. EVERYTHING was so maticulous and so perfect for Sarah. I adored her dress (and shoes, and hair and makeup … well everything!)

Once the girls were ready we headed over to the Ritz Carlton for some portraits and for Sarah and Jason’s first look. It was a blast shooting around the hotel. I think I could photograph something there every day for a month and never get it all.
Sarah’s bridesmaids were a great bunch of girls! I loved photographing them! They were totally up for anything and worked it out like crazy!
Dustin hung out with the fella’s while they got ready. I ran into him while he was doing portraits of the guys and I grabbed this quick one of Jason. I so rarely get to photograph the fellas that I had to take my chance! Plus, Jason is one handsome dude. If you have a camera in your hands you just HAVE to photograph him.

Then it was time for Sarah and Jason’s first look! Oh my goodness it was electric. I adore how Jason looked at her and then touched her face. Check out all the pictures in the slideshow… and have a hanky at the ready.


This next picture is one of my most favorite ever. While we were waiting for the valet to bring our cars I turned around and saw this scene. I just love how despite all the chaos of everything going on around them, Sarah and Jason take notice of only each other. It just makes me all warm and gooey inside.
Then we were off to Occassions in Laguna Beach for their ceremony. The clouds were low and it got dark REALLY fast, but Dustin had the forethought to set up my lights for me just in case natural light wasn’t enough. It was awesome! I love that because of the lights I was able to get all the details in the clouds! It was such a beautiful ceremony! There were lots of tears and lots of laughter. It was just wonderful!

After the I Do’s we were off to the beach for some more portraits. Can I just tell you how much I love our lighting setup? Dustin is such a freaking genius with the off camera light! I seriously don’t know what I would do without him. This much I do know, these kind of images certinly would not be possible without him and our lights. It was almost black out, but we were able to rock some AMAZING images of our very happy couple.


Then we got back to the party! Sarah and Jason have a GREAT group of family and friends who were thrilled to celebrate with them. It was a fantastic party!
