Marie & Jeff

Photographing Marie and Jeff’s Tahoe engagement session at Donner Lake was nothing short of magical. These two are the real freaking deal and we are so very excited to photograph their wedding.  Marie and Jeff have been together for a long time, and their love is a beautiful and rock solid presence.  It pours off of them when they are together – and even when they aren’t!  When I first met with Marie about photographing their wedding everything about her changed when she spoke about Jeff.  Her face became soft and she radiated love for him.  It was incredible to witness.  It was no surprise when we showed up for their session and there was a wild energy spinning around them.  Their love is kinetic! Photographing a love like that is a great joy and this session proved not just fun but SO inspiring.  Dustin and I had such an amazing time photographing these two!  There is something so magical about photographing a couple who doesn’t hold back their emotions, who doesn’t try to disguise their feelings, who is willing to be vulnerable when I’m pointing a camera at them.  Marie and Jeff were completely that couple.  They made their session great by pouring themselves into it!  Marie made an incredible flower crown! They picked a spot important to them as a couple, where they had made memories together and want to make many, many more.  When I told them I had smoke bombs I wanted to play with, they were so excited!  Leaving this session, my heart was full as was my creative tank.  Working with Marie and Jeff made me so excited to make pictures!  And I am SOOOO excited that THIS WEEKEND is their wedding!  I feel so honored to stand and witness their wedding – to be the historian of the start of their marriage.  I simply cannot wait!!
