2015 was a pretty incredible year for us. It was the year we decided to make big jumps and have big faith in our dreams. 2015 felt like coming home and I loved the growth and the challenges that we faced. 2015 changed me as a photographer, a business owner, a mom, a wife and as a person. I grew in a way I didn’t think possible. I would be foolish to know pour out the incredible amount of gratitude I have for everything that happened in 2015. It was the year Dustin joined me full time in this work. The year we gave every part of ourselves to the business of making memories. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that we did. I can’t tell you how much happiness and joy I have working side by side with my beloved husband. 2015 was also the year I fell back in love with film. I shot the first half of my career on film, abandoned it for digital and then came back like the prodigal daughter. Using film again has filled me with so much joy for the work and excitement about what I’m doing as a photographer. It has slowed me down (which is actually a really good thing) and made me appreciate moments even better. Hands down, putting film back into my work was the best thing I did last year. 2015 was a great year filled with incredible couples that had beautiful stories about how they decided on each other. We feel honored to show them the beginning moments of their marriages. To create something with them that will be cherished, we hope, for generations. Here are some of the pictures that made my heart sing and breath catch this year. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we enjoyed making them! (Warning: This is LONG! Be ready to scroll.)
