Twenty-Seventeen is turning out to be the year of intimate weddings and I am here for that! I’m not going to lie to you, I sobbed at this wedding. Straight up ugly cried to the point I had to go hide for a minute because I was so moved. To me, that is the power of an intimate wedding. There is a feeling you can have no other way then when surrounded by the people closest and dearest to you and them alone. Lauren and Brian got married at one of our favorite places in the world, Burney Falls. My beloved husband spent his high school years as a resident of Burney and so for him, it’s always a bit of a homecoming when we visit. We took the kids camping there a few years ago and it was my first time visiting the falls. I wasn’t expecting them to be as grand and moving as they are because how amazing can a waterfall be? The answer to that is HEART STOPPINGLY AMAZING. Lauren and Brian gathered a small group of family and friends and created basically my dream wedding. A brief but heartfelt ceremony, followed by photos, followed by a bbq dinner with toasts and laughter, followed by dancing and s’mores. DREAM! WEDDING! It was a joy to be a part of their day. I loved witnessing their love and the bond that is so strong and clear between their family and friends. I also adored their sweet pup, Cooper, who was the best man and maid of honor. That always makes me happy when the fur baby is involved.
Lauren and Brian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having us be there to photograph your beautiful wedding day! We adore you and can’t thank you enough for being so wonderful. Check out more of this beautifully intimate wedding below.
