On a day in late August I had the awesome job of capturing Dana and Mike’s beautiful, classic black tie Citizen Hotel wedding. You might remember these two from their engagement session earlier this summer. Dana and Mike put together a stunningly beautiful day filled with love and joy. Dana planned every tiny detail of their day, and her hard work paid off with one of the loveliest weddings we’ve shot at The Citizen. I loved her choice of navy and jewel tones with pops of gold! Everyone looks great in navy! And any time you can add a little gold I say do it! Dana had a great group of her biggest fans helping her get ready – from his sisters to her daughter and nieces everyone was just SO excited to get her ready for her big day.
I adore photographing close knit families – and Dana’s family is definitley one of those families. There were a lot of joyful tears from Dana’s parents and family and I, for one, just loved it. It was an absolute joy photographing all of this love.
There is just something magical about a cathedral length veil! Dana rocked her amazing veil and gown! I loved it. The groom and his fellas were no slouches either. Black bow ties, amazing watches and a whole lot of handsome.
Then it was ceremony time! Dana and Mike chose the Terrace Ballroom for their ceremony and it was done up beautifully! I loved the delicate, soft tones flowers they chose for the ceremony.
How much do I love Mike for his reaction to seeing his bride? I LOVE IT A LOT! Like, A LOT, a lot.
Hooray for becoming Mr. and Mrs! We went off to take some family and bridal party portraits before the big party. I love this shot I captured of Dana’s parents after the ceremony. I’m sure I’ll have similar feelings when my little girl gets hitched.
Then it was time to focus on our dangerously beautiful couple. They were SO fun (and let’s be honest, so EASY) to photograph! Couple portraits are my favorite part of the day!!
While we were making pretty pictures and the guests were enjoying cocktail hour, the hardworking staff at The Citizen and the amazingly talented florist of Scarlett and Grace were transforming the ballroom into a breathtaking place for the reception. Also, any wedding with an ice sculpture is a winner in my book. These two cops had a gun, which was pretty hilarious.
Thanks again to Dana and Mike for having us be a part of their spectacular wedding! We loved it!! And thanks to the vendors who made our job such a pleasure as well! It’s always a treat to work with a talented bunch of awesome people!!

There is not just one word that can define how AMAZINGLY AWESOME and classy Dana and Mike’s wedding event was! I was honored to be present to witness such a blessed event and the photos capturing the many moments, did just that. Dana did not disappoint and looked absolutely stunning. A fabulous and fun day it was and I wish Dana and Mike nothing but much love and the best always.
Beautiful photos! Through these photos, the photographer made me feel as if I was present in those intimate moments. Very touching! Dana and Mike look like they are models for a high end bridal magazine (not difficult for this attractive couple)!
Amazing day, Amazing moments and an amazing photographer to catch it all!
Much love to Dana and Mike
