I had the VERY good fortune of meeting Andy and Camille at a networking event in downtown Sacramento a few years ago. Andy is the proprietor of Andy’s Candy Apothecary and if there is one thing we know about me, it’s that I freaking love candy. So, it’s almost as if fate (but mostly candy) brought us together. Andy and Camille are SO my kind of people. We had such a lovely time chatting with each other that evening which lead to emails and phone calls and meeting and eventually I ended up photographing their store for them (all those pretty pictures on their website I made with them!) but, even better, I got to know their beautiful family. And then, as if the universe wasn’t already telling us YOU SHOULD BE FRIENDS FOREVER, our daughters were in the same choir at The Sacramento Children’s Chorus and sat right next to each other. The past few years have been such a joy having this wonderful family in my life. I was so happy to photograph them in their super cute Sacramento home this past fall. This was the first time they had ever done family portraits, so I knew I had to pull out all the stops! I shot film and digital, we made pictures inside and outside and we took a break to pet the neighbors cat. It was basically the perfect session. But that’s what happens with such an incredibly wonderful family. Thanks Andy and Camille for being so freaking fantastic!
