The love I have for this family is DEEP. Like, SO deep! Jaimee is one of my oldest, dearest friends and the past year and half has been a wild one. Almost exactly a year ago I was at lunch with Jaimee before her final chemo. A year later, her hair is amazing and her cancer has been banished. We aren’t even 40 y’all! And going through this at this age has been eye opening. When I photographed Jaimee’s family before she started chemo I was a mess of emotion. I was so worried about getting images that would be meaningful to her family. This time around I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. We traveled up to Auburn to grab some fall photos in the woods. The light was perfect, the weather was dream and this family made my heart overflow! I love these kids and how freaking hilarious they all are. It doesn’t hurt that they are wildly photogenic as well! We laughed big laughs, snuggled each other wildly and made some of the funnest and happiest photos of this family. I am so grateful for my friend. Grateful for her beautiful family and her wellness. Those are the greatest gifts of all.
