Welcome to the third of what has turned into a four part series on Andrea and Grant’s Wedding Weekend! Did I intend this to be four seperate blog post? No, no I didn’t. But when I was choosing the images and reliving this day, I knew there was just so much I wanted to share. This wedding has my heart, and I adore the images we got to create with this super fun group of humans. After a crazy morning of wedding olympics, we all headed back to our cabins and tents to get ready for the ceremony. Dustin went with Grant and his fella’s while I hung out with the ladies. Dustin and I tend to text each other throughout a wedding just to keep each other aware of what’s going on when we aren’t together. The wifi at the lake was a bit spotty, but I did get a text that read “Groom split his pants. I’m sewing them back together now.” Bless sweet Dustin and his ability to sew! He has saved the day at SO many weddings because of his talent with a needle and thread. I was with the bride while she was getting ready when I got that text and didn’t let on that there was a pants problem. That’s not really something a bride wants to hear as she prepares for her wedding. Instead, Andrea and Grant sent gifts over to each other. Grant got Andrea the COOLEST custom Calvin and Hobbs painting! Everyone in the room cried when they saw it! Seeing how thoughtful they were with each other was one of my favorite parts of this wedding. Once the pants were fixed and the bride was dressed we got these two together for their first look in a grove of redwood trees. OF COURSE Grant had the BEST reaction to seeing Andrea! It made me so happy! We let them spend a few quiet moments together before heading down and making some bridal party photos and getting ready for the ceremony. Andrea had let me in on the fact that part of her vows were her singing to Grant. I was so excited to see his reaction, because he LOVES it when she sings. The ceremony was perfect. Laughter, tears, a ring bear, beautiful vows and happiness and joy just exploding all around. It was a joy to photograph!
