I’m not going to lie, when I first decided to do fall mini portrait sessions I was REALLY nervous. I hadn’t ever offered mini sessions before, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to give my best work. I was scared the spot wouldn’t work for several hours of a single day, that people would get lost or not show up or what have you. I was scared that despite having almost 20 years of photographing families under my belt, that I would somehow blow this whole thing. But mostly, I was scared I was going to hate it. I would hate the pace, the constant stream of people and the demand for creativity. But ya know what? All of that worry was in vain (as worry tends to be) and these mini sessions made me a believer! I can’t tell you how much fun I had with the amazing families that had me photograph them this year. Some families I met for the first time, while others I’ve known most of my life. From strangers to besties I loved the opportunity to capture some truly beautiful people. But don’t take my word for it. Check out some of my favorite shots below.
I will be doing another round of mini portrait sessions in the spring, so make sure you LIKE THE SMP FACEBOOK PAGE to be the first to know when the dates are open for booking!
