“His heart danced upon her movement like a cork upon a tide.”
-James Joyce, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
This was our final wedding of 2015 and it was also the final day of 2015 – so it was a really, really great day. Just a few weeks prior, Beth contacted me about her elopement with her love, Kash. They lived in Vegas, but dreamed of big trees surrounding them as they planted themselves in each other’s hearts forever. It would just be them and a few close family members but they wanted it to be amazing. And amazing it was! I introduced them to the big trees of Muir Woods and the beauty of Muir Beach and just like these two – it was a perfect match. Dustin was there to make awesome photos and officiate the wedding as well. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to watch my sweet husband marry a couple. He works so hard to come up with the right words for each couple, and to make it unique and beautiful to them. Even if there are only a few people there – even if it’s just me there – saying those words is vitally important and I love how beautifully Dustin does it. Beth and Kash shared private vows with each other before the ceremony and all I can say to this is YES! This is something I would love to see more couples do! Dustin and I had a few minutes alone together before our wedding and we said the stuff we wanted to say to each other, but not necessarily say in front of our mothers. When I think back on that, THOSE words are my real vows and those promises are the ones I work so hard to keep. Creating this wedding with Beth and Kash was such a wonderful experience. They brought their personalities, their sense of style and their whole hearts to this day. I loved capturing it! Congratulations again you two!!
