I have SUCH a deep love for engagement sessions! We so enjoyed getting to know some of our 2016 couples during these shoots. Whether it be a San Francisco or a Sacramento Engagement Photos session we love creating images with our incredible clients that are true to them and stand as an authentic representation of their relationship. I adore getting to know the people who have invited us into their wedding. We often start an engagement session with a drink and a bite (no one should have their photos taken hungry!) and some good conversation. Getting to know our clients is paramount to us being able to creating meaning photos with them. It’s one thing to create a beautiful photo, but it’s another to create a beautiful photo that is filled with meaning. We’ve photographed couples at the spot they went on their first date, where they got engaged, their favorite place to camp or hang out and even in their home. Making these session ABOUT the couple is the most important thing to us. Looking back years from now, they will see the excitment of this time and the hope for the future. I see that when I look at our engagement pictures from almost 12 years ago! I think, MAN! If those two kids knew how much life would change in the next few years! They are just so happy and hopeful! When I see those pictures of us from our engagement session I can’t help but get a little hit of that excitement again. I can’t help but remember what those days and weeks leading up to our wedding felt like. It makes me so happy to create images that can give that feeling to another couple.
