Lauren and Tony got married this last weekend and, you guys, it was amazing! It was only this week that I realized I hadn’t shared their super fun San Francisco Engagement Session with you! We got together on perhaps one of the most perfect days San Francisco has ever seen. The sun was out, the breeze was gentle and the light was awesome. I shot this entire session on Ektar 100 film (35mm) on a Nikon F100 camera. That camera is the one I lusted after in college but could never find the means to make my own. Earlier this year I bought it on ebay for about $100. It kind of felt like redeeming my 19 year old self. It sure did make for a really fun day of shooting. Ektar film is not meant for portraits – it’s traditionally a landscape film. But I’ve never been one to abide by tradition. I love the way the colors pop on these scans. But even better, I love the way this happy couple shows of just how in love they are. Lauren and Tony are such wonderful humans. I am so grateful we had this engagement session to get to know each other and make some super fun photos. It sure made their wedding day a breeze! Thanks as well to Richard Photo Lab for the great job developing and scanning these. I am so happy with how everything turned out!
