One of the greatest things about being a Sacramento event photographer is getting to know the amazingly talented people who call Sacramento home. I have been so blessed to work with some of the best planners and designers in the event industry. Last year I had the delightful opportunity to photograph the stunning details of an elegant farm to fork inspired backyard soiree designed by Kate Whelan Events with incredible floral designs by Flourish. I have to be honest, I REALLY love when my only job is to take pictures of pretty, pretty things. Don’t get me wrong, I adore photographing people, but sometimes photographing the beauty of an events details leaves me giddy. Especially when the event is put together so expertly and designed so beautifully. Kate has an incredible eye for detail as you’ll see in these images. She just knows how to put everything together in an impecably perfect way. Shannon’s floral designs are simply second to none. Her work is breathtaking! Kate and Shannon together are the dream! I had an amazing time wandering around this event before guests arrived making pictures of all this pretty. I used medium format film as well as digital photography. I knew the film would perfectly fit the feeling and looks Kate and Shannon would provide. Thanks to these talented women for having me photograph the stunning details of this incredible event!
