Marriage Equality for a Reason!
Beautiful, wonderful and amazing Shavonda and Naomi had one of our favorite weddings ever last month. In fact, they got married on their anniversary – which also happens to be OUR anniversary (August 25th if you’re wondering) and we LOVE that we share such a special day with them. We started off with Shavonda getting ready. Shavonda’s shoes were to DIE for! And her dresses… yes, she had two and I LOVED THEM! Honestly, there was just a lot of pretty at this wedding. So let me show ya some of it.
Because Shavonda and Naomi are super awesome, they had a First Look. The first picture is Naomi being really proud that she wasn’t the first to cry. Apparently, there was a wager going for who would cray first. But, their first look was even more super special because this is where Shavonda FINALLY got her engagement ring. Her reaction was FANTASTIC!
Then we all piled into the limo and headed off for some portraits with our fabulous bridal party.
And then we were back to Beatnik for the ceremony and party! Everyone put on white knots when they walked into the wedding. You can check out more info at WhiteKnot.org Dustin and I put ours on our camera bag and camera strap… where they will stay until everyone can get married! I also love that they did a ring warming – where they pass their rings among the guests so everyone blesses the rings and become participants in the ceremony. I think this is such a beautiful way to include everyone. And I also loved that they jumped the broom! Another tradition I love!
We took a few minutes for some lovely portraits of our brides and then got them into their party before we took them out for MORE portraits. You all know how I love me a sunset portrait. And this wedding was catered by a taco truck! A TACO TRUCK! So, basically it was my idea of heaven.
